OPSIS SYSTEM PRIVATE LIMITED (erstwhile OPSIS SYSTEM) was conceived and set up in 2001 in the pristine natural environment by the river Ganges in the district of Hooghly, West Bengal, India, as a training institute on Information Technology.
Keeping with the meaning of OPSIS which translates to “viewing” , the organisation soon diversified in the field of Geographical Information System and Image Processing with a vision to deliver the digital geospatial technology at affordable cost to the Indian customers.
In pursuit of bringing advanced technology to India, OPSIS signed agreement with a couple of multinational companies to cater to the software requirements of the organisations coupled with focussed after sales support services. It then slowly expanded its horizon to compliment with project based customised services using imagery and mapping technologies.
OPSIS SYSTEM has a city office setup in Salt Lake, Calcutta and is well located in the vicinity of airport and the IT hub of Sector V in Salt Lake and is also at a stone’s throw from the throbbing ‘City Centre’ and Central Government Offices. The company has planned roadmap to establish its own premises in the upcoming New Town locality.
The company has also strategic business relationship at various cities in India to provide quick and efficient support system to the clients in different cities of India.

Key Persons
Dr. Balen Basu
Has experience since 1996 in the field of GIS and Remote Sensing and has been associated with Computech International, New Delhi, ROLTA India, PCI Geomatics Canada. Having M.Sc Tech degree in Applied Geophysics with Remote Sensing as special paper from Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad, he completed the doctorate program from Jadavpur University from the department of Geological Sciences using GIS and Remote Sensing tools. He is the fellow of council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and life member of the Indian Society of Remote Sensing and Indian Society of Geomatics. He has national and international experience in this field and has been trained in PCI Canada and has travelled worldwide on various occasions to participate in International seminars during his tenure in various organizations. He is the Managing Director of the company.
Mrs. Soma Basu
She is M.Sc Tech in Applied Geophysics from Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad and worked as Research Scientist under GATE scholarship in the Department of Physics, Jadavpur University. With an industry experience since 2001 in the field of Geoinformatics she overseers the overall administration. She is responsible for the execution of Geophysical project team and analysis of the reports. As a Director she is responsible for overall business development.
Mr. Debdulal Mondal
Done post graduation in Computer Application from IIT, Delhi. & M.Sc Tech in Applied Geophysics from Indian School of Mines,Dhanbad. Presently a senior professional since 1998 with experience in the IT Services Delivery having strong people and interpersonal skills. Played key role in multiple engagements for clients like Bank of Montreal, FiserV, Royal & Sun Alliance, General Electric, Coca-Cola, IBM, Home Depot, LL Bean, Bolton Services Group. Work experience includes Application Development, Maintenance, Support, Migration and Conversion type projects with proven track records of successful deliveries. With technology background on Mainframe platforms, taken active involvement in both technical and project management activities. Performed project management and program management responsibilities for different client accounts in IBM. Mr. Mondal has taken ownership in team coordination and managing stakeholder communication. He has wide experience in analysis of Geophysical Resistivity sounding data and has interpreted using advanced algorithms for analysis of sub-surface water bearing zones. Conducted technical trainings for project teams in specific areas to address skill requirement of projects. He played the role of People manager for around last eight years. He works as an advisor to OPSIS SYSTEM

We are the sole authorised reseller of MicroImages, USA for their developed software TNTmips and headquartered in Nebraska , USA. PHOTOMOD is one of the robust and oldest photogrammetric solutions developed by RACURS, Russia of whom we are the authorised reseller and has wide solutions addressing Aerial, Satellite images, Unaided Aerial Vehicles, RADAR interferometry solutions.
Apart from these alliances we are also advantageously tied up with a number of other companies like SOUTH for their state-of-the-art survey instruments, GARMIN and Vehicle Tracking Systems of Zenrin, Atlanta and others.
