West Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation Limited (WEBEL) is the government agency responsible for technology development in West Bengal, India. Incorporated in 1974, it has taken number of initiatives to facilitate growth of Electronics and IT industries in the state and assisting the state government in most of its e-governance projects.
The WEBEL – OPSIS academy was created with an objective to provide quality training inputs to all interested candidates to make them employable in the Industry and provide training opportunities to enhance and broaden skills, to keep those skills current with the latest technology and software developments. This is a unique initiative to make Geomatics reach one and all at a very affordable cost.
